It’s Not Too Late. You’re Just Getting Started.

Sis, let me remind you of something today. It is not too late. I don’t care if you’re 42 or 62. I don’t care if you’ve been out of school for twenty years or if your last baby just left for college. You are not too old, too far behind, or too late to start something new.

We live in a world that loves to celebrate youth. But what they don’t always say is that real wisdom, real fire, and real purpose often come later. I used to think that once I hit a certain age, the doors would stop opening. But baby, I have never been more alive. I have never had more clarity. And let me tell you where that clarity came from—it came through prayer. It came through fasting. It came from quiet moments with God where He reminded me of who I am, and who I have always been. He helped me meet the woman I am now at this stage of life. And I am learning to love her.

Some of us are stepping out of careers that drained us. Some of us are stepping into unfamiliar territory like launching a business, going back to school, writing a book, or packing our bags to live somewhere we have always dreamed of. And yes, we are doing it with reading glasses, aching knees, and more grace for ourselves than ever before. But we are still doing it. And that is what matters.

This season of life is not about shrinking. It is about unboxing. It is about peeling off the labels and expectations that religion, culture, family, and even our past selves placed on us. It is about rediscovering who we are through the lens of God’s love and purpose. You are allowed to change. You are allowed to grow. You are allowed to start fresh.

I know what it feels like to wonder if the best years are behind you. I have sat with those questions. But let me look you in the eye and tell you this with my whole heart. Your best years are not behind you. They are waiting for you to believe in them. They are waiting for you to believe in you.

This is your time to rise. This is your season to say yes to something that feels wild, bold, and beautiful. You are not late. You are right on time.
