Becoming Her: The Woman You’re Still Growing Into

Becoming Her: The Woman You’re Still Growing Into There’s this little red robin that visits me almost every morning here in Mexico. She perches on my terrace railing like she owns the place — small, bold, bright. And every time she shows up, I’m reminded that becoming isn’t about rushing or reinventing. It’s about showing up. Unbothered. Present. Still. That’s where I am right now — in that in-between space. Not who I used to be, not quite who I’m becoming. Somewhere between motherhood and me-time, ambition and stillness. It’s strange, liberating, and sometimes messy as hell. You spend so much of your life performing — being mom, wife, caretaker, leader — that when the noise finally quiets, you look around and think, “Well, damn… who am I now?” But what if this season isn’t a crisis? What if it’s a calling? Becoming her isn’t about chasing your younger self; it’s about honoring the woman who’s been waiting underneath all along. The one who still dreams, still desires, still wants to laugh for no reason. It’s the courage to slow down without feeling guilty. To look in the mirror and see softness as strength. To let your evolution take its sweet time. And when the doubt creeps in, remember the robin — calm, steady, unapologetic. You don’t have to chase your next chapter. You just have to show up for it. If this season of becoming is stirring something in you — if you’re tired of performing and ready to start living again — come sit with me at coachantoinette.com . Let’s figure out who you’re still growing into. © 2025 Antoinette McCormick | The Coaching Table | Hot Flashes & Cold Truth
